Rene P. Larrieu, is the founding principal of Larrieu and Associates, Human Resources Management Consulting firm located in Miami, Dade County and incorporated as a Florida Corporation, in March 1997. Larrieu is a seasoned, forward-thinking Human Resources Professional with (35) thirty five years of private and public sector experience. The Corporation has (2) two Corporate Officers and one serves as Full Time Management Consultant. In the past, the firm has hired other Consultants, as needed, to participate in various project. The primary focus of the firm is to serve the Public and Private sector of Miami Dade County. The top officer of the firm possesses extensive experience in Professional Search Services.

Larrieu holds a B.S. Degree in Economics form Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. He holds a Bachelor of Foreign Trade Degree from the Thunderbird Graduate School of  Foreign Trade in Phoenix, Arizona, as well as Master of Business Administration Degree in Marketing from the University of Miami.

Prior to establishing Larrieu and Associates, Larrieu worked in the Public Sector for (20) years where he held an Executive Human Resources position from 1985 to 1995, with the City of Miami. He served as Assistant Director and Deputy Personnel Director form 1985 to 1995. where he was responsible for the day to day operation of the Department of Human Resources. From 1975 to 1985, Larrieu held various professional and supervisory positions in the areas of Recruitment and Selections, Records Management, Classification and Compensation and Testing and Validation. In the Testing and Validation function he was instrumental in the reinstatement of psychological profiles for the Police Department as well as the validation of entry level Police officer testing battery to be compliance with the Consent Decree.

Besides his twenty years in Public Sector experience, Larrieu also has a solid professional personal track record in the private sector where he worked for approximately 10 years with three multinational corporations. These organizations were Bacardi Martini USA, Gulf Oil Corporation and Cargill Grain, Inc. He worked areas dealing with Human Resource, Business Management Efficiency, Marketing and Operations Management. Larrieu is an expert in Recruitment and Selection, Compensation, and overall Management Consulting. To add to the scope of services provided to solve critical staffing needs, Larrieu has created "strategic alliances" with others leading firms renowned for their focus on areas including Affirmative Action/Diversity, Equal Opportunity Employment, Organizational Development, Employee Leasing and Marketing Research Services.
